This two layers magnetic box is engineered for brands that sell premium sets rather than single items. A rigid custom printed packaging box with a flip flap lid on the upper level and a sliding drawer on the base level gives you two separate presentation zones inside one finished luxury gift box. The upper level holds the hero item on a die-cut insert, while the lower drawer keeps the supporting pieces hidden until the buyer pulls the ribbon link.
We built this structure around two of the fastest growing gift segments: skincare packaging sets (serum, cream, toner, sheet mask, applicator) and wine or spirits sets (bottle plus glassware or gourmet pairing). Every box is made to your own dimensions, so the interior is not a compromise around stock sizes.
Also available as a plain two piece rigid box without magnets for cost-sensitive programmes, or with a soft-touch matte lamination for a quieter, skin-care appropriate hand feel.
Buyers of a two layers gift box ask the same practical questions in every sourcing round. The table below maps each concern to the design answer built into this box, with the applications where it matters most.
| Customer Concern | How This Box Solves It | Ideal Application |
|---|---|---|
| Will the two levels feel like one product, not two boxes taped together? | Ribbon link runs continuously from lid to drawer, and both levels share the same wrap, edge colour and lamination, so the set reads as a single magnetic closure box. | Skincare gift sets, holiday coffer sets |
| The lid opens too easily in transit, product falls out on the shelf. | Concealed neodymium magnets hold the flap lid shut through handling and courier drops; opening requires a deliberate upward pull. | Retail shelf display, e-commerce shipping |
| Bottles and jars knock against each other during delivery. | Die-cut EVA or paper pulp insert locks each item in its own cavity; the rigid greyboard wall on both levels stops lateral movement. | Serum, essence, ampoule, toner sets |
| Bottle sets are heavy and the drawer sags or jams. | Base drawer is built on 1200–1500 gsm greyboard with a reinforced floor and a controlled-glide channel, tested with a 2.5 kg load. | Wine, whisky, spirits and glassware sets |
| We need the box to look branded, not generic. | Full-surface CMYK or Pantone print, plus gold foil stamping box detailing on the lid for logos and collection names. | Luxury retail, corporate gifting |
| Buyers want the unboxing to feel staged, not instant. | Two-stage reveal: hero product first under the flap, secondary items after the drawer pull. The pause is what creates the premium impression. | Subscription box packaging, PR mailers |
| Sustainability claims must be defensible. | FSC-certified paper wrap, water-based glue and a fully recyclable mono-material board option make this an eco friendly gift box you can state on-pack. | Clean beauty, organic cosmetics |
| Repeat orders must look identical to the first run. | Print plates, colour proofs and the die are kept on file, so reorders match the approved sample without re-approval cycles. | Seasonal collections, annual gift programmes |

| Step | Stage | What the Customer Needs to Note |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Inquiry & briefing | Give internal dimensions, product weight, quantity, print status and target delivery date. Missing dimensions are the main cause of requotation. |
| 2 | Structure proposal | We return a suggested structure and dieline. Confirm the opening direction, drawer depth and ribbon position now — changes later affect tooling. |
| 3 | Quotation | Check what is included: printing, lamination, foil, insert, ribbon, export packing. Compare unit price at your real annual volume. |
| 4 | Artwork & dieline | Supply vector artwork on the approved dieline. Keep 3–5 mm bleed and keep logos 5 mm clear of folds. |
| 5 | Pre-production sample | Approve structure, paper, colour and finishing on a physical sample. Written approval here is what defines the contract quality standard. |
| 6 | Deposit & scheduling | Deposit releases the production slot. Confirm the ship date in writing, and confirm whether packing is flat or assembled. |
| 7 | Mass production | Production runs 15–20 working days. Ask for in-line photos at the printing and assembly stages if your timeline is tight. |
| 8 | Quality inspection | Review the QC report and photos. Confirm carton marks, shipping marks and label content before we book freight. |
| 9 | Balance & shipment | Balance settles against the inspection report. Confirm the consignee details, HS code and incoterm before booking. |
| 10 | Delivery & after-sales | Check cartons on arrival for transit damage and report within 7 days. Keep one approved sample and one production sample for reorder comparison. |
